Located at 1143 Shady Ln in Austin, Travis County, Texas. It is an affordable housing apartment project consisting of 97-units.
As the civil engineer for the project, my responsibilities included obtaining entitlements for the property through the subdivision process and completing the civil engineering design to obtain permits for the project.
This involved designing a public water main extension, an onsite stormwater lift station, and a water quality pond. I also coordinated extensively with the floodplain administration to ensure compliance with regulations regarding development near the 100-year floodplain. The goal was to ultimately relieve the site of detention requirements in order to maximize the use of the property.
