Located at 521 W. Wells Branch Parkway, in Austin, Travis County, Texas. The project entailed the construction of a 6,300 square foot automatic carwash facility that includes self-serve vacuums on-site.

Southtown Engineering was responsible for collaborating with the City of Austin to obtain site development permits and complete the engineering design.

The site presented several challenges due to the significant difference in elevation on-site, the presence of a drainage easement that divided the site, and the existence of several acres of offsite stormwater runoff that passed through the site. To overcome these challenges, we conducted a drainage analysis and designed a suitable system to efficiently handle both on-site and off-site stormwater runoff. Our objective was to prevent any negative impacts on properties upstream and downstream of the development. Additionally, we optimized the grading on-site and coordinated the partial release of the drainage easement to accommodate the proper fitment of the building on-site.
